We are Stomping Ground Photo, a school picture company in Brooklyn, NY and we've reinvented the school picture.

We are looking to add a Post Production Assistant to work out of our Brooklyn office. As an SGP Post Production Assistant you will assist our Post Producers, Creative Services Manager, Customer Service department and the Technical Director, many of whom are remote. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in customer service related to Post Production issues.

  • Edit images in Lightroom. Edit for content, density, cropping, etc to prep images to sell online

  • Various data-checking throughout systems.

  • Choose images for our Image Release process

  • Source images for various specific project-based needs as they happen.

  • Perform retouching work, knockouts, etc.

  • Carry out FTP uploads.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Organization and communication skills are key for this type of work, which revolves around continuous deadlines.

  • Focus, speed, & efficiency.

  • Ability to quickly learn industry and company standards and software.

  • Adobe Lightroom proficiency required.

    • Familiarity with each different Module and its purpose, Quick Develop methods, Develop Setting Sync, and mastery of efficient program navigation

  • Basic retouching in Photoshop. We will train in our volume/workflow-specific retouching methods, but you should bring a solid understanding of PS tools and how they work already.

  • Flexibility. An ability to change gears to shift one’s focus when circumstances call for a redirection/change in scope.

  • Natural curiosity. We want to hear your thoughts! We expect everyone to contribute feedback towards fine-tuning the workflow based on their experiences.

  • Experience at a volume portraiture/imaging company a plus!

  • Experience working in schools a plus!
